American College of Radiology® Recognizes Enloe Breast Imaging

CHICO, Calif., Oct. 16, 2023 – Enloe Breast Imaging has been designated a Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center by the American College of Radiology® (ACR®).

Enloe Breast Imaging (EBI) opened its doors in November of 2022 expanding its breast care services to offer a broader spectrum of screening and diagnostic procedures and a more cohesive experience, including genetic assessment, treatment, and survivorship.

By awarding facilities this status, ACR recognizes breast imaging centers that have earned accreditation in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound (including ultrasound-guided breast biopsy) and breast MRI.

“Breast Imaging is such an important and emotional area of radiology that it is imperative to have a great group of radiologists, technologists, nurses and support staff,” said radiologist Lara Bussey, D.O., EBI Lead Interpreting Physician. “This designation reflects the amazing team we have in place at Enloe Breast Imaging. They are dedicated, caring and incredibly good at what they do.”

Peer-review evaluations, conducted in each breast imaging modality by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field, have determined that this facility has achieved high practice standards in image quality, personnel qualifications, facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs.

The ACR is a national professional organization serving more than 42,000 diagnostic/interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
