Health Care Team
Members of your health care team may include:
- Registration staff
- Doctors
- Surgeons
- Nurses
- Social workers
- Spiritual support
- Volunteers
Admissions Staff
The registration staff will confirm personal insurance information. They will also go over information about privacy, as well as Patient Rights and Responsibilities. Financial counselors are available to answer questions about hospital costs and your insurance. You may reach a financial counselor by calling 530-332-6749.
Medical Staff
A physician will oversee your care. He or she may ask other physician specialists to see you during your stay, such as:
- An intensivist, who is an expert in critical care
- A hospitalist, who specializes in caring for patients during their hospital stay
- A surgeon, who performs operations and procedures
You may also receive care from a nurse practitioner or physician’s assistant who works under the direction of your doctor.
Please note that physicians are independent, licensed practitioners. They are members of the Enloe medical staff, but they are not employed by the medical center.
Nursing Staff
You will have a nurse assigned to care for you at all times. There is also a charge nurse responsible for your patient care unit. Please talk to your nurse, or the charge nurse, if you have questions or concerns during your stay.
Case Management
Each patient care area has a case management team. Case managers help families with needs that may arise during their stay. Needs may be financial, social or emotional. They can help create a smooth transition from the hospital to your home or extended care facility.
Spiritual Support
We respect the rich diversity of spiritual and religious beliefs. Your priest, minister, rabbi or other spiritual care provider is welcome to visit you at the hospital. If you would like us to contact a spiritual care provider for you, please notify your nurse or social worker.
Housekeeping Team
A member of the housekeeping staff cleans your room daily. If your room needs attention, please tell your nurse. You may also call 530-521-4696, and it will be addressed as soon as possible.
Other Caregivers
You may receive a visit from staff in the laboratory or radiology departments. Some patients may also see physical, occupational, speech or respiratory therapists.
Patients may also see volunteers. These caring community members help make your stay more comfortable. They wear special “volunteer” logo shirts and badges.
The team at Enloe includes many behind-the-scenes employees. These include pharmacists, accountants, engineers, secretaries, food service workers and others. We all work together to promote your well-being.
