What information is included in my monthly statements?

Monthly statements include all open patient balances, including any person for whom you’re financially responsible (often referred to as guarantor billing).

Look at a sample statement.

Why are you billing me for lab tests? I had my lab test at my doctor’s office.

Your physician may draw labs in their office, but they usually don’t process them. Lab specimens are processed at the hospital lab.

My Home Medical Equipment services were not included in my hospital billing statement. Why?

Although each service is part of Enloe Health, they are billed separately.

How do I request an itemized statement?

Request one through MyChart.

The charges on my billing statement are confusing. How can I get an explanation for these charges?

Enloe Health Patient Financial Services representatives will be happy to assist you with your questions. You can reach our caregivers in any of these ways:

Physician Billing Questions

Why am I receiving bills from physicians I did not see?

There are physicians who interpret your laboratory and radiology tests that do not visit you. You also may not meet anesthesiologists and assistant surgeons who care for you during surgery. These physicians submit separate billing statements to you and your insurance company. If you have questions about these bills, please call the number on each statement.

Are the physicians at Enloe Health contracted with my insurance carrier?

Contact your physician or your insurance carrier about coverage questions. Learn about coverage before receiving care when possible.
