The Enloe Health Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience program allows students to work in a hospital setting. Pharmacy students work with Enloe Health’s clinical team to reinforce concepts they learned in the classroom.
This program is open to students who are in their first or second year of pharmacy school. Rotations take place in the summers.
The Enloe Health Advanced Practice Pharmacy Experience gives students the clinical skills they need to optimize drug therapy management. It aims to enhance students’ abilities and develop problem-solving skills.
This program is available to pharmacy students who are in their last year of schooling.
Students in both programs learn about:
- Critical care
- Emergency medicine
- Infectious disease
- Oncology
- Informatics
- Outpatient care
- And management
The Enloe Health Pharmacy Technician Externship allows North State students to complete their education in a hospital setting. Students:
- Work with pharmacists and technicians.
- Learn about sterile and cleanroom preparations.
- Learn about pharmacy technology.
- Gain experience they need for employment.
Technician Externships are available to students completing their didactic learning. The length of these programs varies from 80 to 130 hours, depending on the school.
