Enloe Health offers an array of midwifery services. Our certified nurse midwives (CNM) work closely with supervising obstetrics and gynecology physicians. CNMs are registered nurses with advanced degrees and training in women’s health, including:
- Maternity services
- Pregnancy
- Delivery for low-risk, healthy women
These caregivers are certified by the American College of Nurse-Midwives. They work in collaboration with local obgyn doctors. At Enloe Health, CNMs see patients at our Obstetrics & Gynecology clinics. They provide compassionate care for all phases of life — from adolescence to menopause. See them for:

Having a Baby?
CNMs offer prenatal maternity care. And they have privileges at Enloe Health, so they can deliver your new bundle of joy! These CNMs stay by your side during your labor, helping you manage pain with natural approaches, like:
- Adjusting positions
- Breathing techniques
- Massage
- Birthing balls and bars
- Conventional pain medication if needed
Then, when it’s time, they’ll help you welcome your new addition. If complications arise, supervising physicians are just steps away.
