Hospitalists at Enloe Health devote their time to your health care needs during your hospital stay. By working with patients throughout their stay, these doctors can order needed tests, exams and procedures, consult with specialists, and personally check on you daily.

What Is a Hospitalist?
A hospitalist is a physician who treats patients during their stay. While caring for patients, they may also diagnose conditions and perform medical procedures.
Hospitalists specialize in three levels of care: hospital medicine, critical care and infectious disease. Hospitalists care for patients who are 18 and older.

During your stay at Enloe, one or more hospitalist physicians will direct your care. Each member of the hospitalist care team is dedicated to assisting you during your visit. A hospitalist is available 24 hours a day.
Though you may not see the same physician every day of your hospital stay, members of the hospitalist team regularly communicate with each other about your care and treatment plan.
Since 1995, the Chico Hospitalist Group has provided care to individuals admitted to Enloe Health Medical Center.
Working as a team, these dedicated physicians are available to care for you at the hospital 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
After You Leave
When you leave the hospital, we encourage you to follow up with your primary care physician. This is to arrange follow-up treatment and prescribe any necessary medication or refills. Enloe will send your hospital records to your physician at the time of discharge.
If you have questions about your care after you are discharged, please be sure to contact your primary physician. If you do not have a primary care doctor, we encourage you to find one. Check out Enloe’s online physician directory as a place to start.
Billing
How will I be billed?
You and your insurance company will be billed for both your hospital visit and the care provided by the physicians of the Chico Hospitalist Group. Enloe and the Chico Hospitalist Group understand that medical needs can be unexpected and expensive and will work with you to set up payment arrangements to help relieve some of the financial burden when necessary.

If you have questions about your billing statement, please contact Enloe Patient Financial Services at 530-332-6300 or send an electronic message to a customer service representative via Enloe’s MyChart.
Physicians are independent, licensed practitioners who are members of Enloe’s medical staff and not employed by the medical center.
