What Is Trauma Surgery?
Trauma surgery is used to treat injuries caused by an impact, for instance an injury you may suffer after being involved in a car accident. These incidents can damage your organs, bones or brain.
If this happens to you, highly trained local surgeons at Enloe Health will provide emergency surgery and follow-up care through the Enloe Trauma Clinic or Orthopedic Specialty Clinic. The surgeons provide these services separately from their own private practices.

Caregivers in Enloe Health's Emergency Department and Enloe Health Prompt Care may also refer patients to this clinic. They may also refer patients who are experiencing pain due to fractures, strains, sprains, sports injuries, trauma or other injuries to the joints and bones to Enloe Health’s Orthopedic Specialty Clinic.
