FlightCare
A Symbol of Our Commitment to Our Region
FlightCare is Enloe Health’s air ambulance service. It touches the lives of many by responding to emergencies within a 75-mile radius of Enloe Health. We fly in patients from Butte, Tehama, Glenn, Plumas, Colusa, Sierra, Yuba and Lassen counties.
FlightCare is supported by a team of emergency and critical care experts. The helicopter flies at an average speed of 135 mph and responds to an average of three calls per day.
FlightCare has transported 23,000 patients since 1985, saving countless lives. It was one of the first three air medical programs in the country to become fully certified with the Federal Aviation Commission to use night-vision goggles.
Public Notification
The Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems requires a program to inform the public of a scheduled site survey, other than a site survey following a fatal accident, and invites them to provide the site survey team with relevant information.

The FlightCare Membership Program assures that members will not be billed for out-of-pocket expenses when FlightCare or a reciprocating emergency air service transports them.
Enloe Health FlightCare is affiliated with the Association of Air Medical Membership Programs (AAMMP), which means FlightCare membership benefits transfer to the sister programs.

Certifications
Enloe Health FlightCare is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Air Medical Transport System (CAMTS). This recognizes that the medical transport rotor-wing service provides highly skilled flight nurse and paramedic teams to care for adult and pediatric patients.
Enloe Health FlightCare is certified by the United States Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration.

STEMI Designation
The FlightCare helicopter is equipped with a 12-lead EKG machine as part of Enloe Health’s STEMI Designation. This helps us provide timely care for patients suffering from the most urgent, life-threatening heart attacks.
