Our Preparing for Bariatric Surgery Class is held in person Mondays from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Fountain Medical Conference Room. You will be scheduled for this class two weeks before your surgery date. This class is designed to help patients prepare for their bariatric surgery plan at Enloe Health. You’ll:

  • Learn what to expect during your hospital stay
  • Hear how to participate in the recovery process
  • And more

Our Pre-Op Nutrition Review Class takes place the first and third Monday of every month from 3:30-4:30 p.m. This class is designed to give you a comprehensive review of the changes you’ll need to make to your diet before and after surgery, as well the vitamins you’ll need to take.

Your loved ones are encouraged to attend any of these classes with you.

Join Bariatric Buddies

Bariatric BuddiesEnloe Health offers three support groups for those considering bariatric surgery and those who have had the procedure. These groups, called Bariatric Buddies, are free and take place every month.

When you attend, you’ll gain insight on wellness topics and meet others who have had — or are preparing for — bariatric surgery in an atmosphere of encouragement.

Chico Bariatric Buddies usually meets the last Wednesday of every month from 6-7:30 p.m. The Redding Bariatric Buddies group usually meets in Redding the second Wednesday of every month from 6-7:30 p.m. An online support group meeting also takes place on Zoom the first Wednesday of every month from 6-7:30 p.m.
