Emergency Services

Enloe Medical Center is the area's Designated Level II Trauma Center. Board-certified emergency physicians, trauma surgeons, cardiologists and allied medical professionals are available 24 hours a day to handle emergency illnesses and injury. Enloe's Emergency Services Department is also designated for emergency pediatric care and includes specialized equipment to treat children. Enloe is a designated STEMI Receiving Center. This means we are equipped to provide care for patients suffering the most urgent, life-threatening heart attacks.

Ambulance Service & Membership Program

Enloe's comprehensive emergency operations include:

• a Ground Ambulance Service serving residents of Butte, Glenn and Colusa counties 24 hours a day. Our ambulance fleet includes a bariatric ambulance outfitted with special equipment to provide comfort to patients
• FlightCare, an air ambulance service providing 24-hour coverage to the rural areas of the far north state.
• A FlightCare Membership Program that for pennies a day, can rapidly transport you from a remote location to a medical facility.
• The Ambulance Service offers a Rural Cardiac Alert Program, serving more than 50 communities in Butte, Glen and Colusa counties and the western region of Plumas County. The program which helps increase chances of survival for heart attack patients in rural areas. It saves critical time by allowing emergency responders to test patients in transit using 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) machines with buit-in telecommunications technology and bring them directly to the most appropriate hsopital, which receives the ECG results in advance to prepare personnel and equipment before arrival.

Lifeline

Enloe also offers Lifeline, a service that allows members to press a special button worn on the wrist or around the neck in case of a medical problem that leaves them unable to get to a telephone.

Prompt Care Clinics

For minor injuries and illnesses -- such as the flu, colds, sore throats, ear aches, sprains, fractures, back strains, minor burns and other problems that are not life threatening -- Enloe Medical Center has two walk-in Prompt Care Clinics.
