affiliate of the UCSF Helen Diller
Family Comprehensive Cancer
Center. This affiliation aims to
enhance care and improve access
to medical experts and high-quality, specialty treatment for residents of
the region served by
the Enloe Regional Cancer Center’s outpatient services, Enloe’s inpatient oncology unit and Enloe Hospice.
Benefits of the affiliation include:
• An expedited process for patients to be seen at UCSF
• Expanded access to the latest clinical research trials conducted
at UCSF
• Joint tumor boards, in which multidisciplinary groups of
physicians review and discuss patients’ conditions and
treatment options
• Annual education sessions on cancer prevention and treatment
jointly developed by Enloe and UCSF
