Employees of the Quarter -
April through June 2010

Please join us in honoring these exceptional employees at Enloe Medical Center.

ALYSSA BELCHER

A Recruiter at Enloe for three years, Alyssa is now also a Planetree facilitator. Co-workers describe her as “one of the wittiest people” they know, and new hires say she was an influential part of their decision to choose the hospital. After conquering her fear of public speaking, putting herself through college and gaining worldly insight working in Bath Spa, England, Alyssa made Chico her home. She loves working for Enloe and is “proud to be part of such an incredible organization.”

GINA ECKSTROM

Gina, a Registered Nurse in the Definitive Care Unit, began working at Enloe as a Certified Nursing Assistant more than six years ago while attending Chico State’s nursing program. Co-workers say her “dedication to quality care, concern for her patients and consistent selfless service mark her as a true beacon of what Enloe stands for.” Gina enjoys exercising, skiing, hiking and running with her yellow lab in the park. She completed her first sky dive and half marathon this year.

SCOTT ESTES

A Registered Nurse on the First Floor Medical/Neurological unit, Scott joined Enloe four years ago. Co-workers say his “calm demeanor and professionalism make him a joy to work with.” Scott is recently engaged to be married and has also become certified for foster care. He keeps busy cooking, gardening, traveling, exploring Bidwell’s Upper Park with his dog and playing cards. He has expressed that he is grateful for his co-workers and their team work.

CATHERINE MAHONEY

Catherine, a Registered Nurse with Enloe HomeCare for more than six years, brings added expertise as a Certified Wound/Ostomy/Continence Nurse. Patients and co-workers recognize her commitment and compassion. Catherine has two sons, a daughter and recently celebrated her 10th wedding anniversary. She is a member of Doin’ It Justice Community Chorus and volunteers as a triage nurse at the Shalom Free Clinic. Working at Enloe, Catherine says: “Allows me to do what I love best, the best way I know how.”

PATRICK MALONEY

Patrick, Lead Security Officer, joined Enloe two years ago. Co-workers say “he gives over 110 percent in everything he does.” His favorite memories include carrying his toddler daughter while hiking with his wife in Germany and helping his son construct his Eagle Scout project, the entrance gates for the Barry R. Kirshner Wildlife Foundation. Patrick is a Merit Badge Counselor with the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoys working at Enloe because of the opportunity to “help ease the stress level of distressed people.”
