Enloe Foundation Board of Directors announces new members

CHICO, Calif., April 4, 2012 – The Enloe Foundation Board of Directors welcomed three new community members during the first quarter of 2012. Joining the board this year are Tom Hughes, Mark Kimmelshue and Connie Rowe.

The board is made up of 19 volunteer community members and three Enloe Medical Center staff members. They govern the Enloe Foundation, a not-for-profit 501 [c] 3 charitable organization that supports Enloe Medical Center.

Tom Hughes, Vice President of Employee Benefits for InterWest Insurance Services, Inc., hasworked in the insurance industry for more than 20 years. He provides strategic consultation to clients on their companies’ employee benefit programs. Hughes has made a contribution to the community through service on local boards and through his church. He is a member of the Chico Noon Rotary Club, Chairman of the Chico Community Scholarship Association and holds numerous leadership positions at Bidwell Presbyterian Church. He previously served as a board member of the Chico Chamber of Commerce, the Chico Economic Development Corporation and the Chico Noon Rotary Club. He and his wife Kristy have lived in Chico since 1985 and have three children. Hughes is a graduate of California State University, Chico and holds the Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) designation.

 

Another new member is Mark Kimmelshue, a local farmer and General Manager/CEO for Associated Rice Marketing Cooperative (ARMCO), a company he co-founded. Kimmelshue has been involved in numerous community organizations. He serves as a member of the Butte County Water Commission, the California Rice Commission’s Board of Directors, the Durham Unified School District’s Board of Trustees and is on the Board of Directors for both River Partners and USA Rice Federation. Kimmelshue also serves as board president of the Children’s Choir of Chico and is a member of the Durham Exchange Club.  He earned his master’s in business administration and bachelor’s in agricultural business management, both from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Calif. Kimmelshue, who was raised in Durham, has lived there with his wife Diane since 1986 and they have two children.

Also joining the board is Connie Rowe, Enloe Medical Center’s Vice President of Patient Care Services. Rowe has served as the head of patient care services since 2008 after working in an interim capacity since June 2007. In this role, Rowe is responsible for all aspects of patient care, policies, procedures and quality at Enloe Medical Center. Her previous work at Enloe spanned from 1984 through 1999 and included leadership and nursing positions. Rowe is also a member of AONE (American Organization of Nurse Executives). She is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration. She also received certifications in Quality and Case Management.
