Enloe Medical Center encourages community input
in hospital strategic plan

CHICO, Calif., July 7, 2009 – Enloe Medical Center invites community members to attend an
Enloe Community Strategic Planning Session to provide insight and feedback as the medical
center develops a new three-year strategic plan. The sessions will be offered on Tuesday July 14 or Wednesday, July 22 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Enloe Conference Center, 1528 Esplanade, in Chico.

The sessions will be led by Mike Wiltermood, Enloe Chief Executive Officer. He will discuss the medical center’s new mission and vision and the importance of community in shaping Enloe’s strategic plan.

A strategic plan is designed to help an organization define its values, elevate its performance and identify the right focus. Enloe’s strategic plan will be based on employee and community feedback as well as performance measurements, and it will integrate the hospital’s strategic priorities – Patient Experience, Employee Engagement, Physician-Hospital Alignment and Financial Stewardship. The planning process also involves a financial analysis of a clinic-foundation model for physicians. The Enloe Board of Trustees has already conducted work sessions surrounding the strategic plan.

An RSVP is not required to attend a community strategic planning session. For more information, community members can call Enloe Marketing & Communications at 332-6745.
