Enloe Medical Center to offer second N95 mask drive-thru at Calvary Chapel
on Saturday, July 12 at 9 a.m.
WHAT: Enloe Medical Center will offer a second public drive-through on Saturday to give free N95 masks/respirators to the public.Masks were provided to Enloe as part of a cooperative effort with the Public Health Departments in Butte and Sutter Counties.
WHEN: Saturday, July 12, 2008, 9 a.m. to noon or until supplies last
WHERE: Calvary Chapel, 1888 Springfield Drive, Chico
DRIVING ROUTE: From Hwy. 99, exit at Hwy. 32 and turn right on Forest Ave. Go south to the second Springfield Drive. Please remain in your vehicle upon arrival. Please do not contact Calvary Chapel for information.
HOW MASKS WILL BE GIVEN: A total of 6,000 of masks will be distributed. A maximum of one per person.Masks will be provided as supplies last.
PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN WITH MASKS: Special instructions will be provided. It’s important to follow these instructions for the masks to be effective. The masks can be reused.
WHY: The wildfire smoke creates poor air quality. The microscopic particles generated by the fires can get into your eyes and respiratory system, where they can cause health problems such as burning eyes, runny nose, and illnesses such as bronchitis. Fine particles also can aggravate chronic heart and lung diseases – and are linked to premature deaths in people with these conditions.
