21st annual Evening of Remembrance to honor loved ones

CHICO, Calif., Nov. 24, 2008 – Family and friends of Enloe Hospice patients and those in the community with loved ones who have died during the past year are invited to attend Enloe Hospice’s 21st-annual Evening of Remembrance. The event will take place on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the Enloe Conference Center, at 1528 Esplanade in Chico.

The program includes music, photographs and special readings. Enloe Hospice staff will read the names of the former Hospice patients and light candles in their memory. Members of the community who have lost a loved one during the past year also invited to attend and honor their loved ones. A time for visiting and refreshments will follow the ceremony. About Enloe Hospice: Enloe Hospice began serving the community as a volunteer organization in 1978. The professional staff now includes medical director, registered nurses, medical social workers, physical therapy, home health aides and volunteer coordinator. Enloe Hospice serves hundreds of families each year in Butte, Glenn and Tehama counties. It is a Medicare Certified Provider for hospice and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Care is provided in the patient’s home, or other residence such as an assisted living facility or nursing home. Care and support is available in anticipation of the loss of a loved one, and for up to a year following the patient’s care.
